Manufacturing Engineer

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• CAD file directory administration
• Visual item master administration
• Facilitate product cost reduction and plant efficiency (Kaizen) events
• Develop and fine tune shop process instructions (Standardized Work)
• Develop shop fixtures to improve accuracy and efficiency (Jidoka)
• Facilitate the ECR and ECN program
• Liaison between engineering, processing and manufacturing on product redesign, new product design, implementation and design modifications
• Assist shop managers with process layout changes, equipment purchase justification and implementation
• Assist shop managers with fine tuning the final assembly and pre-wire process

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering
• 5 years minimum experience in mechanical, industrial and/or manufacturing engineering environment or related metal fabrication experience
• Strong working knowledge of metalworking shop practices, advanced manufacturing techniques and management methods
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of both general computer, AutoCAD directory structures, product and bill of material structures, manufacturing routings and general knowledge of manufacturing software systems
• Excellent blueprint reading , math and trigonometry skills
• Experience working with welding processes
