Description

Work By: 

  • Responding to emergency incidents including medical, fire, environmental, and security‑related situations as the first on‑scene support 

  • Monitoring critical security systems, alarms, and LifeSafety programs from the Security Operations Center on a local and global scale 

  • Managing daily security operations such as visitor processing, trailer check‑ins, multi‑line phone system calls, badge support, and report documentation 

  • Conducting regular patrols, facility inspections, and weekly/monthly safety audits across assigned locations 

  • Working with limited supervision, exercising independent judgment and critical thinking while effectively multitasking and resolving employee, facility, and security‑related issues

  • Collaborating with internal partners including Facilities, Health & Safety, HR, Logistics, and Operations to support workplace safety and coordinated incident response 

  • Assisting with de‑escalation, customer service interactions, and support for high‑stress or sensitive situations 

  • Supports and assists in the implementation of training and onboarding programs to ensure effective employee integration

  • Participating in department projects or improvement initiatives based on interest, skill development, and business needs

 

  • Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including empathy, clear communication, and effective problem‑solving 

  • Ability to work the established shift rotation, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime 

  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, including frequent walking throughout the facility as part of daily responsibilities

  • Proficiency in using computers and navigating multiple software applications, including Microsoft Office products

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 

 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Prior experience in security, emergency response, or a customer‑facing role 

  • Experience using security systems, access control tools, or multi‑line phone systems 

  • Skill in de‑escalation, staying calm under pressure, and navigating sensitive situations 

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity by recognizing and protecting sensitive Company information while supporting corporate functions

  • Strong attention to detail with experience documenting incidents or writing reports 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners (e.g., Facilities, HR, Logistics, Operations) 

  • Interest in learning new systems, processes, and protocols in a structured environment 


Additional details/requirements:

  • The role is second shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

  • Availability for 1–2 weeks of first shift training (7:00am - 3:00pm), as this is our busiest time and most conducive to onboarding

  • Includes weekend and holiday coverage

  • schedule rotation:

    • 7 days on

    • 2 days off (Wednesday, Thursday)

    • 8 days on

    • 4 days off (Saturday - Tuesday)

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods

  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

  • Comfortable responding to emergencies, de-escalation situations, and other high-pressure scenarios (with training)

  • Ability to comply with tobacco-free campus policy
